About Brian Roth
Brian has 30+ years of experience applying operations research techniques in several industries. Besides scheduling crews, locomotives, and track maintenance activities for railways, he’s designed/evaluated backbone networks for telcos, and he’s built weapon-to-target assignment algorithms in the defense industry. He received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (Carnegie Mellon University), an M.S. in Operations Research (U. of Alabama in Huntsville), and he has completed work towards a D.Sc. in Operations Research at George Washington University (ABD).
About Olga Ortiz, PhD
Dr. Ortiz is a 12-year veteran at PepsiCo, all of which she has spent in Supply Chain Optimization. She currently leads a team that designs, develops, deploys and supports optimization tools for production planning and distribution. Her team also empowers field users with advanced analytics tools for optimized decision-making. She has also worked as a technical lead and OR modeler in support of production planning and system delivery, as well as tactical sourcing. Dr. Ortiz holds a B.S. and a PhD in Industrial Engineering, which she received from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia) and Georgia Tech, respectively.
